At Hitcader, our owner embarked on a mission to provide premium controllers for gamers seeking to elevate their playing experience without breaking the bank. Frustrated with the subpar quality and high prices of arcade controllers available on the market, we set out to make a difference.

I'm Ben, the creator behind Hitcader. My passion for the fighting genre has been deeply ingrained since my early years, playing games like Tekken, Soulcalibur, and DOA. However, as time went on, my interest started to wane. That all changed when I stumbled upon an electrifying grand finals match between 'Knee' and 'JDCR' during Tekken Tag Tournament 2.

I was completely captivated by what I witnessed. The level of movement and skill displayed by those players was unlike anything I had ever seen in Tekken before. It instantly reignited my love for the franchise. I became obsessed with mastering techniques like wavedashing and fluidly maneuvering across the screen, just as I had seen them do.

Soon enough, I discovered that these players were utilizing a specialized controller known as an 'arcade stick.' However, back then, these controllers came with a hefty price tag, some costing hundreds of dollars. Despite the cost, I was determined to improve my gameplay, so I made the investment and purchased one for myself.

Although the arcade stick controller I purchased did improve my input consistency and movement to some extent, it wasn't a significant enhancement. It was later on that I discovered the buzz around an 'all-button controller,' which replaced the 4-way diagonal stick with an additional 4 buttons for each direction. Interestingly, some even referred to this as a cheat device due to its superior performance compared to other available options.

The difference was striking. The speed at which I could press those buttons at my fingertips, compared to using my entire wrist, was like night and day. I felt lightning-fast while playing, while the stick, although enjoyable, felt slow and cumbersome in comparison. Once I experienced the incredible responsiveness and precision of the all-button controller, there was no going back. It was as if my gameplay had instantly levelled up the moment I started using it. The days of dropped combos, incorrect inputs, and sore wrists (thankfully) became a thing of the past.

The only issue was the exorbitant cost of these all-button controllers. Why should someone have to pay an amount equivalent to a console's price just to experience such a remarkable controller? It seemed unjust that only those willing to spend hundreds of dollars would have access to such an advantage. It almost felt like an unfair edge in gameplay for those who could afford it.

This is why, in March 2023, I embarked on the journey of creating a low-cost brand. Inspired by the early Japanese FGC scene and driven by a clear vision, I began handcrafting each controller. From wiring to designing, my aim was to provide more options and accessibility to those who couldn't afford the excessively high prices associated with these controllers. That is, until now.

Introducing the Hitcader all-button controller, priced at 2X to even 4X lower than the average all-button controller on the market today. In fact, ours may very well be the most affordable option available worldwide, while maintaining the same high-quality standards you would expect.

P.S. The profit margin we receive in return is far from sufficient considering the immense effort and energy invested in this brand. But let us assure you, monetary gain is not our driving force. Our motivation stems from a genuine passion for serving you, the players.
